Study on Dynamic V2X Use Cases

The 5G Automotive Association (5GAA) is pleased to release its new Technical Report “A Study on Dynamic V2X Use Cases”, exploring how C-V2X technologies can support a range of dynamic road safety use cases beyond basic awareness services, including intersection safety, vulnerable road users, soft intersections, and high-speed rear-end collisions.

By combining analytical models, simulations, and real-world data, the report examines how direct (PC5) and network-based (Uu) communications can work together to extend situational awareness, especially in complex or non-line-of-sight scenarios.

With V2X increasingly reflected in NCAP discussions, this paper also touch on what these findings mean for the path toward deployment and real-world implementation.
