This time again, the 5G Automotive Association (5GAA) will lead the field of connected mobility by participating in the Congress. On Wednesday 27 February 2019 the association will host a morning session with leading automotive and telecommunications companies Worldwide. This a great opportunity to get updates and important insights from key industry players.

Following its participation at MWC Barcelona 2018, 5GAA is proud to continue the facilitation of such thought leadership platforms for relevant stakeholders, driving towards building a better mobility ecosystem.

5GAA will be organizing its next Working Group Meeting in Seoul from Jan 28 – 31, 2019.

Community Building Session
As the community building meeting was a big success in Tokyo and received very good feedback from you, there will be a similar format in Seoul. All speakers need to register until Dec 12, 2018.

Format: “Slam Presentation” focusing on C-V2X or other 5GAA relevant topic of maximum 5 minutes each, with 3 Minutes Q&Ao Should relate to a recent C-V2X or cellular technology development/advancement for ITS (e.g. innovation or deployment, test & trials, R&D project, etc.) and be of general relevance for 5GAAo No commercial/brand promotion (company information can be provided but only for background information purposes)

The workshop, open to both 5GAA- and non-5GAA members, aims to provide a discussion platform on the evolution of cloud computing in the automotive sector.

• It strives to connect different stakeholders from car OEMs and network operators to edge computing technology vendors.
• It will facilitate active dialogue and encourage further collaboration.

We are pleased to announce that 5GAA is the organisational partner of the Baltic Sea Region 5G Ecosystem Forum “5G Techritory” – one of the leading 5G technology events worldwide which will be held on 27-28 September 2018 in Riga, Latvia.

The Forum will highlight:

The automotive industry faces massive disruption from advances in autonomy and connectivity as well as the shift towards electric vehicles. Emerging technologies combined with changing customer preferences could reshape the whole market. 5GAA is pleased to present a C-V2X Workshop for North American transportation planning and road operations communities (State DOTs, MPOs, and local agencies).
This workshop is intended to jumpstart a dialog between technology providers, cellular network operators and the transportation community on the capabilities, timeline and the potential role of cellular technologies to transportation systems management and operations (TSMO).
During the workshop, questions from stakeholders and technology providers alike will be asked and answered. In addition to valuable knowledge exchange, a primary output is to define solid next steps to realize the promise of C-V2X on our roads.

The ITS World Congress is held in Europe in the years where there is no ITS European Congress.
The Congresses provides the ideal opportunity for all stakeholders to come together, discuss and make the necessary contacts to move initiatives forward and to develop their business by exhibiting and demonstrating state of the art ITS solutions. The Congresses also showcase the latest ITS achievements from the city and region hosting the Congress, and can help increase awareness of ITS in the Host region itself.

The Mobile World Congress Shanghai, the premier industry event in China, assembles the entire mobile ecosystem and key players from the region to meet, discuss and reveal the latest innovation and technology advances in the field. In continuity with its announcement at the MWC in Barcelona, the 5GAA will pursue its involvement and will present an exciting roundtable focusing on the outstanding progress made by China with implementing C-V2X and how this will positively impact the introduction of the technology at a global level.
