5GAA will be present at the ITS World Congress 2026 in Gangneung, Korea, from 19 to 23 October 2026.

As part of the programme, 5GAA will organise the Special Interest Session “Shaping the Next Generation of Connected & Automated Services for Automotive,” which will examine how future connectivity technologies, including 5G Advanced and 6G, will enable connected and automated mobility services. Industry experts will discuss evolving connectivity requirements, key technological enablers, deployment timelines and the regulatory considerations needed to support future automotive innovation.

It is scheduled for 20 October 2026 at 16:00-17:30 (local time).

It will be moderated by our CTO, Maxime Flament, and feature:

  • Suman Sehra, Global Vice President , Harman
  • Li Zhao, Senior Standardisation Expert, CATT
  • Tim Leinmueller, Senior Technical Manager, DENSO
  • Jyoti Sharma, Associate Director, Verizon

The 5GAA CTO will also contribute to two sessions during the Congress.

– Accelerating C-V2X Deployment to Enhance Road Safety, organised by CATT and scheduled for 20 October 2026, form 14:00-15:30 (local time).

– Global Connectivity Solutions to Support Connected and Automated Driving, organised by LG Electronics on 22 October 2026 at 11:00-12:30 (local time.

He will also speak at the first Executive Session of the event, “Pilots to Platforms: Scaling Nationwide Connected & Automated Mobility in the 5G/6G Era”. The session is scheduled for 20 October 2026 at 11:00-12:30 (local time).

Moreover, 5GAA members will be active throughout the event, contributing to sessions, panels, workshops and technology demonstrations across the exhibition floor. We will soon publish an overview of their activities and innovations, so be sure not to miss any of the developments on display.
